Cedar Waters, Numinbah Valley · August 28—30
At Singing Valley, may you find the presence to drop into your voice, the depth to root in your body, and the courage to sing the song only you can sing.
we are dreaming the valley, and we are singing devotion
we are heeding the call to put voice into motion
for the heart’s opening, we are arising
to stand in our song, as that’s how we belong . . .

What is SingingValley??
SingingValley Campout is a three-day gathering devoted to opening the voice through song. This is the first all-acoustic, voice-activation gathering of its kind in Australia. 🌿

At SingingValley we teach, share and invigorate the songs that travel through this great circuit of like-hearted beings — it's a place where community choirs, kirtan and bhakti circles, devotional song-carriers and medicine-song keepers gather. We hold ceremonial space for the songs to do their healing work, and brew the magic of collective singing. We are about bringing people together to awaken and nurture their spiritual life through communion with song. Such songs clarify our lives, strengthen our communities, and foster personal and planetary renewal.

SingingValley is not a festival or a conference. It is not an entertainer / audience event. There are no stages, no amplification, no headliners, no paid performances, no vendors. It is a DIY-styled, highly participatory adventure in Gathering — a co-prayformance where we all sing (and eat) together, and work together to make this happen. The focal point each night is the fire song gathering, where every one of us has a chance to offer a song to the circle.
Those who don't think they can sing are encouraged to remember the wise African proverb: "If you can walk, then you can dance; if you can talk, then you can sing!" This is a family-friendly event, with generous space made for children.

We aim to keep the gathering affordable and accessible to all who feel drawn to attend. We therefore ask everybody to volunteer their time and talents to the extent they wish to and are able — to help cook, clean, arrange and tend the necessary tasks that keep our village running smoothly. We also ask everyone who is able to bring non-prepared (vegetarian) food to contribute to the community kitchen.
